Electrocoagulation is a method in which a high-frequency electric current is used, as a result of which a high local temperature is achieved on the skin, the heating process in turn causes coagulation – burning of the tissue to be treated.
Electrocoagulation is performed using a special device.
The method is widely used to remove many types of formations, including:
- Warts;
- Fibroids;
- Xanthelasmas;
- Xanthomas;
- Milia;
- Comedones;
- Moles;
- Papillomas, etc.
There is a slight burning sensation during electrocoagulation manipulation. Local anesthesia is required only in cases where larger formations are being treated Each of us carries various types of skin formations on our body. Many of them are small and harmless, which is why they do not require special attention However, there are cases, both for medical and aesthetic reasons, when it becomes necessary to remove certain skin defects.
Before removing a skin formation , it should be diagnosed and monitored by a dermatologist, especially when it grows in size, changes in appearance, color, shape, or causes discomfort to the patient.
